This morning brings a flurry of economic reports, starting with Flash Services and Flash Manufacturing numbers at 9:45 AM ET. These come after FOMC member Logan speaks at 9 AM. Investors also get a look at New Home Sales - which could impact homebuilders, so keep an eye on the XHB - and the Richmond Manufacturing Index at 10 AM ET. And any news regarding a resolution to the debt ceiling, with the X-Date rapidly approaching right after a holiday weekend, could move markets. Home improvement retailer Lowe's (LOW) cut its full-year outlook Tuesday morning, as fewer customers are buying discretionary items, the company said. LOW beat quarterly expectations on earnings per share and revenue, but lower than expected guidance warns of slower consumer sales ahead, which could mean a further rough patch for the economy. Shares are down in premarket trading.
