Shah Gilani is joining the discussion this morning to talk these numbers having predicted what is now known as retail apocalypse, which happened almost seven years ago. Then at 9:30, Chris Johnson will be running through his sector watchlist, retail earnings and his #1 profit indicator. With investors listening to a several of Federal Reserve speakers and waiting for signals on whether Washington lawmakers will reach a deal to avert a US default, the markets continued to lack conviction on either side. Two Federal Reserve officials signaled they favored pausing interest rates increases, while a third policymaker suggested the central bank may have more work to do in its inflation fight. Meanwhile, a measure of New York state manufacturing activity fell sharply in May, hitting its lowest level in over three years, as orders and shipment contracted. The market could face sharp swings as the deadline for raising the government’s $31.4 trillion debt limit approaches next month. The situation could resemble 2011, when markets plunged after a last-minute deal was reached. Despite these challenges, there are still plenty of opportunities for investors. Tom Gentile recently placed a $1.5m bet on Gold and I have recently been investing in oil stocks as M&A activity in the Permian basin ramps up.         Top Profit Opportunities   [Image]( [Get in Quick on This Easy Gold Play with Triple-Digit Profit Potential]( — By Shah Gilani, Chief Investment Strategist Long-term interest in gold has come out of the shadows, and the luster and allure are obvious with a move towards de-dollarization spreading around the globe. But that's just part of what's driving gold higher. If politicians in Washington do allow (or even seriously talk about) the U.S. Government defaulting on its debt, gold and gold miners will be some of the primary beneficiaries. Over the last year, the stock I'm watching has experienced resistance twice. Once in June 2022 and then again in January 2023. And now, with gold miners catching a tailwind on surging gold prices, that same price turned into support in late April 2023 and again last week. [So here's what we're going to do...](   [How to trade a halted stock]( — By Kenny Glick, VWAP Trading Expert My son is back home from JMU for the summer. And while he’s back, I have him next to me in the [Warlock’s World]( to teach him the ins and outs of day trading. Like any new VWAPian, he’ll need to start learning from square one. And there are plenty of topics I’ll be breaking down while he’s here. One in particular that I’ve seen emails from you all asking about is how to trade a stock when it gets halted. The vast majority of halts on the market happen because there’s way too much volume on a single stock name. And the market isn’t able to keep up with all of the orders coming in.
