Three breakout events are quickly converging. Tom Gentile predicts “Gold to $5,000 by November.

[After 12 Years of Ignoring Gold…]( Three breakout events are quickly converging. Tom Gentile predicts “Gold to $5,000 by November.” He’s already put nearly $1.6 million on the line to back it up. Now, he believes silver, copper, and dozens of miners will follow suit. Tom’s bringing in the foremost gold expert on the planet, Brien Lundin, for the full profit plan. [Join them Now for the $5k Gold Breakout Event.](   My Trailblazing Strategy Investors Cheered By Matthew Carr, Strategist, Tactical Trend Investor Hey Reader, It took two years… Through sun, rain, and snow… Each day, making a little more headway than the last. We hacked through overgrowth as mile-a-minute weeds clutched at our ankles and feet, threatening to trip us each step of the way. Fallen trees and discarded limbs blocked our path. But we prevailed. My dog Lily and I re-established a forgotten and neglected network of miles of hiking trails buried under years of treefall. And once we reconnected to the main trailheads, the popularity of our forgotten system exploded. Everyone was given the chance to enjoy the beauty Lily and I walked every day. More hikers and trail runners appeared. And eventually, the Department of Natural Resources assumed maintenance of these newfound “old” routes. Now I love to explore. I love traveling down those less beaten paths – not merely for my own curiosity but for the potential benefits to others… finding an unknown glade to relax in… a hidden riverbend where bald eagles nest and heron fish. I do that not just in the real world – wandering among the dirt, rocks, and trees… but also in the markets. And today, I’m going to share with you one of my favorite trails I blazed a decade ago (nearly to the day)… one that showed investors how to see the markets in a new way… as well as line their pockets with riches.     Cracking a Cold One for Gains There are paths a lot of other analysts and strategists don’t read… or simply won’t. In turn… throughout my career, I’ve become an expert on several trends I believe too many investors don’t pay attention to or outright ignore – especially when it comes to vices. Cannabis? I’m your man. Sports gaming? I started covering the sector before it was on most people’s radars. Alcohol? Let me fill your cup with knowledge. Plenty on Wall Street or in the financial media don’t often venture down these alleyways. But that’s their loss and our gain (as I’ve shown time and time again over the years). That’s because when I’m exploring these less beaten paths, I’m uncovering little-known opportunities – as well as also unearthing lucrative tactical trends. In fact… on May 17, 2013, I penned one of my most famous investor notes (at the time)… “The warmer weather, summer vacations, and baseball being in full swing create the most profitable time for alcohol and beverage companies. Of the top five beer-consuming holidays, three of those occur in the next two months – July 4 (#1), Memorial Day (#3) and Father’s Day (#4). Rounding out the top five are Labor Day and Christmas/New Year’s…” By September 19, 2013, my recommendation on Boston Beer (NYSE:SAM) resulted in a record-breaking gain… 1,889%! At the same time, I introduced investors to the concept of “beer-drinking season…” a topic I receive questions about to this day. This stretches from May all the way through to the Super Bowl each year. And the majority of the top 10 beer-drinking holidays are found during this multimonth run. It’s an all-important period for brewers – particularly those highly dependent on the U.S. market, such as Boston Beer. And it’s one I’ve revisited nearly every year since with investors. But beyond the great gains, there’s another reason I believe investors must follow me down such rarely traveled trails. Safe Passage against the Herd We’ve all heard… “Sell in May and go away!” And historically, May marks the beginning of a difficult stretch for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500. You can see this for yourself in the chart. Now, I’m not going to go into my full breakdown on “sell in May” in these pages. Don't worry though, because I did post a short video about it on YouTube that you can [check out here](. But my point is… my explorations aren’t aimless. I may wander – though not without a purpose. I’m always walking down these less traveled paths looking for an answer… searching for ways to outperform the markets – especially during their most difficult stretches of the year. Why? Because I believe you should always remain fully invested. But that doesn’t mean I believe you should remain fully invested in the same assets or equities throughout the entire year. Some will race up ahead while others lag behind. And though you and I may enjoy meandering or a casual stroll, we don’t want our portfolios to be so lackadaisical. We want our money to be blazing forward at the best clip possible… that’s how we get to enjoy a life of leisure! For instance, the Dow slogs from May to September. But that just so happens to be one of the best stretches of the year for Boston Beer. That’s the importance of tactical trends. Even better, there are dozens of companies and sectors that have their own seasons – like Boston Beer and “beer-drinking season” – ready to be discovered throughout the year. They’re ferreted away on trails I’ve been treading for decades. But I’m always happy to lead investors there and share the wealth I’ve found.
