? Welcome to Technical Tuseday Tuesday, April 25, 2023 Hello – Welcome to Technical Tuesday -

[Chris Johnson Penny Hawk Header](   Welcome to Technical Tuseday Tuesday, April 25, 2023 Hello – Welcome to Technical Tuesday - and it’s not called that just because tech companies are reporting earnings. As we continue to make our way through earnings, the market is doing its best to stay calm. Just check out this quote, you’ll see what I mean: Well, taking a look at the headlines, such as First Republic Bank (FRC) saying deposits have dropped 40% in the first quarter and the Nasdaq underperforming due to worries about those tech earnings tells me the sunshine and rainbows could turn to dark, cloudy skies in a hurry. There’s not exactly a TON of “positive” news in the market these days, and that statement has some heavy sugarcoating… Plus, investors are trying to avoid the fate the banks have fallen to as they flock to one-month bills because the government still hasn't fixed the debt ceiling issue. By the way, it is going to get A LOT worse before it gets fixed. And the market is unsure of how to price potential Fed rate hikes - or pauses - until after the next meeting, which is coming up here next week. I think we trade sideways until then - or until another potential gray or black swan comes and pushes the market out of its sideways trading range. But, while all eyes remain on tech earnings this week, there are some other sectors that could see some action, including: - SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE) - Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) - Communication Services Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLC) But if you want to know how I plan on trading them, [you’ll have to join me for the Long and Short of It - starting in five minutes.]( [Click here to join me](. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
