[Chris Johnson Penny Hawk Header](   [TODAY’S #1 AI PICK]( (HINT: It’s not ChatGPT)   Your Weekly Round up Saturday, April 22, 2023 Hello – The stock market has been very quiet so far this month, but that might be changing as soon as next week as we have a ton of market moving catalysts on the docket. Starting next week investors will get a deluge of earnings reports from some of the biggest and most important companies in the stock market. Of course, front and center is big tech. On Tuesday, after the market closes, we will get earnings from Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) and Alphabet Inc. (GOOG). Then on Thursday Amazon.com Inc (AMZN) reports. All three have had strong performances so far this year, outperforming the market as investors looked to make big tech the new safety trade. And to close out next week, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures will be released Thursday, and Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) Inflation data Friday. Both figures have implications for Federal Reserve interest rate policy which is the most important factor in the market as we have learned in the past few months. Remember too much growth paired with too light a labor market and we could see a change of tone from the Fed as upward pressure on inflation would likely be looming in the air. Volatility has been grinding lower, but these events may be enough to get the market moving again. That’s all an issue for next week, before we get there, I wanted to recap a few stories from the market this week that you may have missed.     Money Morning Live Clip of the Week [Bed Bath and Beyond begins filings for bankruptcy 🔻 BBBY stock short squeeze!?](   In Case You Missed it [Where to Park Your Cash in a Less Than Confident Market]( Typically, for the first month of each quarter, all of the market’s issues can be chalked up to earnings disrupting the market. But, earnings have done much better than any of us could have expected given the headlines. [This is telling me that the market isn’t having an earnings issue right now but rather a confidence issue.](   [Hidden Hyper Events Spark Massive Windfalls]( Is this the most lucrative phenomenon in trading? Find out how you can [unlock your next big potential Cash Surge opportunity here](   [How to Trade XRT Using the Bollinger Bands]( a break or even a touch of the Bollinger Bands tells you the price activity on any given stock is starting to become unusual and volatility is starting to brew. As I always say, volatility is a trader’s best friend… If a stock isn’t moving, there is no money to be made… Or is there? This information is worthless unless you can get ahead of the move. After all, once the stock breaks the band and the volatility moment has passed, the stock will consolidate at the new price and the trade is gone. That’s where one of my favorite patterns comes in – [the Bollinger Band squeeze](   [New and Extraordinary “Cash Surges” Are Hitting Every Day]( Is this the most lucrative phenomenon in trading? The narrative is stronger than ever. Yeah, right. This won’t last. It can’t last. [It’s not an accident that it fell to its lowest levels since late March yesterday…](   Enjoy the rest of your weekend as we have a busy week ahead of us Have a wonderful day.
