The only way to end your day Major indexes fell as the latest job figures underperformed as well as corporate earnings disappointing, headlined by Tesla (TSLA). Big tech led the way lower, with the Nasdaq-100 ETF (QQQ) falling 0.76%. The S&P 500 Index ETF (SPY) and Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) each fell 0.5%. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil contracts fell 2.4% to their lowest level since late March, while natural gas remained flat. Gold futures rose, adding 0.41%. Bitcoin (BTC) fell 2.4% while Ethereum (ETH) fell 0.48, just below the $2,000 level. Telsa (TSLA) shares fell nearly 10% after the company reported a 20% decline in net income from a year ago. AT&T (T) and American Express (AXP) fell 10% and 1%, respectively after releasing quarterly results. AXP profit estimates lagged Wall Street, while T was punished for slowing subscriber growth. Procter & Gamble (PG), Schlumberger (SLB), and Regions Financial (RF) report before the market opens Friday.
