  The only way to end your day   Major averages staged a late day rally to close higher, as corporate earnings season continues. The small cap focused Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) led the way higher, adding 1.28%. The S&P 500 Index rose 0.36% after spending most of the session in negative territory. The Nasdaq-100 ETF (QQQ) was mostly flat, after being down as much as 0.4%. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil contracts fell 1.87%, while natural gas rose over 8%. Gold futures pulled back slightly, dropping 0.36%. Bitcoin (BTC) fell under the $30,000 level falling 2.7% while Ethereum (ETH) fell 1.8%, but stayed above the $2,000 level. Earnings season continued, with reports from State Street (STT) and Charles Schwab (SCHW) before the market opened. STT stock fell 10% after the company reported less than expected revenue and profit, although the stock pared early losses. SCHW shares rose more than 3% after reporting better-than-expected profit. Earnings season picks up steam this week, with Bank of America (BAC), Johnson and Johnson (JNJ) and Goldman Sachs (GS) reporting before Tuesday's opening bell, while United Air Lines (UAL) and Netflix (NFLX) results coming after the close tomorrow.
