[This is VWAP Header]( [ARCHIVES]( TO VWAP?]( LIVE]( [Youtube]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [Discord]( [Tiktok]( [News from Kenny Glick] [No Trading Software Comes Even Close to Capturing These Profits]( 55% in eight days... 80% in 25 days... 108% in 24 days... 160% in 13 days... even 169% in 21 days... and those are just some top performers since September alone. [Find the new technology]( that is securing profits for people even in down markets [here.]( We Need to Talk About Stock Shorting Wednesday, March 22, 2023 The taboo against shorting stock needs to go. If you weren’t aware, [shorting a stock is one of the best ways to make money as a trader.]( The old scare tacticians out there will tell you, ”There’s unlimited risk in shorting! You can lose more on a short than you would if you would have just bought the stock!” People who lose all of their money shorting a stock are those that don’t define their risk ahead of time. They’re the ones that will tell you to buy options ahead of an earnings report because they have a feeling the stock will go up. They’re gamblers who don’t have any rules set in place. When you’re day trading, you’re in a stock, and if it hits your defined stop loss, you get out. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. If you see a trade isn’t working in your favor, you don’t hold onto it trying to get Hope and Faith on the line pleading for it to work out for you. You take your small defined loss, and you move onto the next trade. Or you take your profit a little bit at a time, move your stops and secure a profit on the trade. That’s it. That’s what we do here. There is no holding stocks overnight and getting crushed by bad news on a company. There is only defined risk, and profit taking when it’s staring you in the face. So, how do we short a stock? It’s the exact same concept as buying a stock and selling it for a profit. [But in shorting, you will be shorting a stock and covering it for a profit.]( And just like how VWAP breaks on a stock works in buying, it works in shorting too. Best stocks to short are ones that are gapped up. I’ll never buy a stock that is already 50% up from yesterday. But you can bet that I’ll be there to short it when it breaks VWAP. Want an example? Look at what GameStop did today… It checked all the boxes we needed to make a trade. The stock reported earnings. It was gapped up. And it was breaking VWAP going down. So our plan in the [Warlock’s World]( was to short it. Even if you didn’t get in on the first candle down, the second candle at 26.50 would have gotten you all the way down to 23.10 before it started bouncing back. 100 shares shorted on a $3.40 move is $340 in your pocket for the day. But Kenny, my broker doesn’t allow me to short stock I hear you say. A lot of brokers DO allow you to short a stock, but you need to authorize it on your account. If you aren’t sure how to short a stock on your platform or if you have authorization, I would suggest giving your broker a call. Remember, you can always buy puts instead of shorting a stock, but options pricing in the first few minutes of the day often times does not align with the movement of the stock itself. And as always, feel free to shoot me any questions you may have to KennyGlick@MoneyMapPress.com. I’ll see you all tomorrow morning!
