Momentum is still positive, but the reversal off the 200-day moving average was the sharpest since the August 15 push off near-term highs. We’ve started earnings season with a big splash of cold water… harsh reality… the hair of the dog… whatever metaphor you can forage from your bookshelf. JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America warned a recession is inevitable. Our economic data complemented those warnings. The retail sales numbers were bad in December. Industrial production is plunging right now. We’ll follow momentum (And our early test… says it’s time to short). I’ll go into further detail on the Morning Show starting at 8:30 AM et on Money Morning LIVE. We’ll also be looking at earnings releases from Alcoa (AA) to Procter & Gamble (PG), along with YOUR charts by request with Olivia Voz. It’s Thursday, so we’ll have Bobby Eight joining us, and word on the street is he’s been trading the Egg Shortage as only he can. Plus, special guest Brien Lundin joins the show for a golden Trade the Open. So get ready to learn from a leading expert how to make money from the trend in gold right now. We Love Goooooold!
