Trade the Fed Recap ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Trading Today ]( Hey Trader, Garrett {NAME} here one more time to fill you in... If you couldn’t join us LIVE for our [Trade the Fed special event]( you missed one helluva show. Just look at this chart: At 2 p.m. ET the markets took off like a rocket. As Volume Profile Queen, Voz, would have noted: We gapped into an entirely new volume profile. We chopped around for thirty minutes... Jerome Powell came out to speak... At 2:35 p.m. the markets spiked... (as they always do, it seems) And at 2:37 p.m. they rolled over and annihilated any investor who couldn’t move fast enough. Per Voz, they gapped back down. It was exhilarating. Breathtaking. Terrifying. Honestly, it was the most fun we’ve had all day (besides our Tupperware and Lumber Liquidator plays from the morning). But with everything that happened during our time Trading the Fed today, the biggest highlight was the deluge of invaluable trading advice. I rarely see this level of insight shared with viewers, subscribers, followers, or whatever you call them, on any other platform. That’s why I want to make sure that you don’t miss this gold. Here are just five of them. Note that this list is not exhaustive. [Watch the replay]( to make sure you don’t miss anything. #1:There are multiple ways to “track and trade” market moves. You have the usual suspects – the indices like the S&P 500, Dow, Nasdaq, the QQQs, and the Russell. But you could just as easily know what the markets are doing by following Microsoft or Amazon. During the show, we compared the charts. They were essentially identical. This morning, I said to follow ChargePoint (NYSE: CHPT) because it was a classic momentum stock. It too mimicked the broader market. Just look at this. For all intents and purposes, it’s the same chart as the QQQ one above... My [World’s Biggest Trade]( members were ready for action with this trade, and were glad for it. #2: When markets are dangerous – like they were today – you have alternatives you can trade with. For example, you can trade the underlying stock itself. But, for returns like you’d see with options, you can also trade leveraged ETF. So, rather than trading QQQ or QQQ options, trade TQQQ. It’s in lock step with its big brother, but moves twice as much. #3: Don’t be in a rush to trade. It is always better to get in on a trade a little late and be right, than get in too early and be wrong. On days like today, there’s a move... a knee-jerk reaction... a counter reaction... and then real action. Wait until the chop has calmed down or you’ll be crushed. #4: The trading platform you use is important. If you want to trade the Fed or any other fast move up or down... you must have the technical capability to do it. If you can’t move fast enough – as we saw clearly today – it's the end of you. #5: Algorithms rule this market. BEFORE YOU ACT, let them work themselves out. You can never beat the “algos.” Don’t try. Just be patient. Your turn will come. Really, the best thing to do now is [watch the replay](. If I keep listing all the trading gems we shared today, this email will become a book. And join us tomorrow morning on [Money Morning LIVE]( for insights and trade opportunities that will arise from reactions to today’s Fed meeting. You don’t want to miss this either. Just like after a heavy night of partying, or a day on a rollercoaster, the day after holds some special surprises in store. [Set up a reminder to be there tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. ET.]( See you then.
