[Money Morning LIVE Plus] Thursday, September 08, 2022 Butterflies aren't that bad Hey traders, it's Garrett Many questions are hitting the chat about options trading, due in part to the launch of Mark Sebastian's new [Expiration Trader](. What everyone needs to understand is that trading options can be a great way to quickly grow a small account, thank to the leverage they provide. That's why it can be somewhat frustrating when the conversation around options always seem to start with how "complicated" they are or how "dangerous." Options are just another trading tool, and they're no more or less dangerous than trading certain stocks. In fact, in some ways they're safer. Obviously, you need to learn the basics before you get started, but my main message to you is that you shouldn't be scared to use options. In fact, I would encourage you to start not only learning about options 101 immediately, but even more "advanced" options strategies. Because the truth is, once you start learning how options work, you'll realize some of these strategies aren't that complicated at all... and in fact, they can make your trading life a whole lot easier. The strategy that comes to mind is a butterfly spread. If I told you that a butterfly spread is a strategy that involves both a bull and bear spread, that may sound scary. But if I pointed out that butterfly spreads give you a fixed risk/reward before your trade, that could help you start to understand the ways this strategy could be used. The easiest way to understand them is to actually see them in action. Mark put together a full video showing [how he creates his butterflies]( with great visuals to see how he profits from them. [The basics of the butterfly]( But at the end of the day, I want you all to have confidence in yourself. Obviously, don't trade things you don't understand, but if you're with us, I have faith that we can get you understanding almost any trading strategy. To that point, make sure you are looking through the free resources in the [Money Morning LIVE Trade School]( and tune into the show every day. You can download our [full streaming schedule here](. I'll see you all there. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
