Inflation moved only slightly down - which means inflation is still very high from a historical perspective! If inflation slowly declines, it's questionable how quickly and sharply the Fed may adjust rates. Why it matters Corporations make serious adjustments when borrowing becomes harder. With continued increases in rates, we'll most likely experience increases in unemployment, interest rates for mortgages, credit cards and other loans.
