First of all, great username. Second of all, I completely understand how someone could have this question. Stocks on Friday were surging higher, and then there's me still talking about how red momentum is. We need to always keep the bigger picture in mind when talking about the market, especially this market. Because remember, in bear markets, there are going to be very big relief rallies that feel "real." But one of the easiest indicators to check is simply how many stocks are trading above their 50-day moving average. This information is right on Finviz.
