[Follow the Money Morning LIVE streaming schedule here.]( Hello, Power Profit Traders! I know that navigating today's Stormy Market environment can feel like you're in a row boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean in a lightning storm! Tumultuous Events are Prevalent Everywhere you turn there's turmoil and confusion about our economic future. I'm sure many of you are still feeling the uncertainty of the Russia/Ukraine outcome. Also, on one hand, the weekly jobless claims came in below what economists had surveyed. And on the other hand, job creation in the US private sector dropped sharply last month - pointing to a cooldown in labor demand. The jobless claims and job creation news can create conflict in some investor's minds. Additionally, the Fed is beginning its Quantitative Tightening this week and is set to reduce its nearly $9 trillion asset portfolio - intended to supplement rate hikes and fight inflation. The outcome of the Fed's move is always concerning. Upcoming Fed action will create some headwinds for stock investors. All this at a time when investors are already Crabby about their portfolio positions, and it shows. Optimism about the market's short-term direction is below 20% for the fourth time in seven weeks! Where You Can Find Comfort! Despite the market volatility this year, we've been navigating the storm Successfully! When you find yourself in an uncomfortable, stormy situation, as many investors are today, there is comfort in climbing aboard with those who have experience navigating volatile market conditions. Climb Aboard My [Operation Surge Strike]( trades have produced over 50% returns between February 25 and March 25 this year! We accomplished this and more smack in the middle of the tumultuous market conditions people have had to endure. Since launching my [Quantum Data Profits]( program, which was also right in the heart of the stormy market conditions, we have enjoyed11 realized winners and ZERO realized losing trades. That's right! ZERO! Let me help you see the potential and calm your nerves as I analyze stocks and market indices with some of my favorite tools each week. Tom's Tools There are five tools I utilize to quickly analyze stocks. My [BRUTUS]( and [Quantum Data Technology]( does all the heavy lifting for us, but I like to have an overall bird's-eye view of stocks and indices. When you gain access to my Tom's Option Tools app, you'll be able to follow along with my market and individual stock analysis. These tools serve as a visual aid in market analysis: - Candles - Option Implied Volatility - Fibonacci Values - 20/50 Simple Moving Average Lines - Channels Candles Candles are a great way to see what's happening with price action. They can offer a quick overview as to where price has been and show consistent patterns along with stronger or weaker price moves. Option Implied Volatility Option Implied Volatility can help us by indicating if options are expensive (inflated prices) or inexpensive (deflated prices). Additionally, the Implied Volatility informs us if there is heightened concern in the general market. Both of these ways are helpful in decision making. Fibonacci Value Although Fibonacci Values can seem complex at first, they can help us to determine potential price projections. The good news is that my [Quantum Data Technology]( does the work for you! Moving Average Lines Moving averages are very helpful in recognizing general trends. Not only for the short term, but also intermediate and even long term. It can be difficult swimming against an ocean current, but if we identify the general direction of the current (trend), successful trading becomes easier. Channels Finally, we'll look at the up, down or even sideways channels that a stock's price trades inside. Identifying the range of a stock is very helpful in determining entries and exits. Join us in our Success as we move into the latter half of 2022! All the best, Tom Gentile America's #1 Pattern Trader [Tom's Toolbox]( Today's Watchlist is based on the Morning Report's Expensive IV tool. This data is updated after the closing bell each session, and compares current implied volatility (IV) against a set of near-the-money options over the last year. Expensive IV means the current IV is at the high end of this 52-week range, meaning option premiums are running hotter than normal - a ripe atmosphere for selling to open options.
