The other crazy thing he said was that Donald Trump “loves this country.” The same Donald Trump who incited a deadly insurrection trying to overturn the last presidential election. The same Trump who says he wants to “terminate” the Constitution and pardon the insurrectionists who attacked law enforcement officers on January 6th. The same convicted felon Mike Lawler supports for President of the United States. Let me be clear: there is only one party that is actually fighting for the American people and the issues that matter most to them—Democrats. Our record speaks for itself: I was proud to be part of the most productive Congress in modern history. The Democratic House majority rescued our economy from the pandemic, lowered prescription drug costs for seniors, brought billions to New York for infrastructure repairs, passed commonsense gun safety reforms, created millions of good-paying jobs, and defended our democracy. Meanwhile, unaccomplished Republicans in Congress like Mike Lawler are too busy spreading hatred and fear—and bowing to a 34-time convicted felon—to actually focus on the issues that matter.
