Katrina Fleming loves books that contain an unexpected twist or a dollop of strangeness. But lately she's encountered two unwelcome plot twists in her reading life: social media hype has started playing with her head, and she's endured a series of false starts in her recent reading selections. Right now she wants fewer bestsellers and more hidden gems on her To Be Read list. What I'm reading now: I just finished a great forthcoming release that I read too late to slip into the Summer Reading Guide (Unboxing is May 19!), but look forward to recommending to the right reader on What Should I Read Next. I'm very much enjoying listening to [the much-recommended thriller The Golden Couple](), narrated by Marin Ireland and Karissa Vacker, who are both phenomenal.
