Hey readers, I love hearing stories of friendships and relationships forged through reading, and I've enjoyed the chance to talk to a few different pairs of reading partners over the past 300+ episodes. Today we have a new one for you! Gabby and Verne are a daughter-in-law/father-in-law who've come to love the experience of reading together. They first discovered a common passion for reading when Gabby lent Verne a book from her shelf. Since then, they’ve started their own informal book club where they seek out contemplative, philosophical stories that make them think. Today's recommendations are especially fun, because I suggest matched pairs of books to these reading buddies. I hope these recs fuel their reading choices for many moons to come. Connect with Gabby on her [website](=) and visit [our show notes page]( to see the full list of titles we discussed today, and leave your own suggestions for Gabby and Verne in the comments. 3 things I love: 1.
