Hey readers, It’s almost time for one of my favorite Modern Mrs Darcy traditions. Winter has never been my favorite season. It’s cold, it’s grey, it too often brings colds or worse, and usually brings a bit of cabin fever—but of course this year the dread of illness is something else entirely, and that “stuck inside” feeling is next-level. And so to beat back the dreary days, this winter I'm remembering how helpful it's been to keep a list—a literal, physical list—of the things that are saving my life right now. And, just like we've done for the past ten-ish years, we're inviting you to do the same. [Click here for the lowdown on our community's life-giving tradition](=). And mark your calendars for February 1—I can't wait to see what you share this year. Happy reading, friends! Anne P.S. The ebook version of my book [Don't Overthink It](=) is on sale through the end of the month—less than one more week! If you haven't yet gotten your copy, now is the time. Thank you! Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
