Hey readers, We don't have a new episode today, but things are humming right along at WSIRN headquar

Hey readers, We don't have a new episode today, but things are humming right along at WSIRN headquarters. We're recording A BUNCH of great episodes to release this fall, and we're already thinking ahead to the holiday season! Plus, as always, we're talking about the books we've read and loved. Don't miss [last week's episode]( for a sampling of our team's diverse reading tastes and a BUNCH of book recommendations. We do have a new episode dropping for Patreon members this week. I'm sharing spooky books I really enjoyed (as a self-proclaimed scaredy-bookworm) and a few books that turned out to be too spooky for my taste. As a patron, you'll have access to all of our bonus episodes (over 20 hours of bonus content and counting!) and video events like the Fall Book Preview and Summer Reading Guide unboxing. Plus, one of our patrons' favorite bonuses is the visual monthly wrap-up we send out with notable book recommendations from each episode, behind the scenes moments, audiobook recommendations, and more. Become a member today at [patreon.com/whatshouldireadnext](). While you wait for next week's new episode, here are three past episodes we recommend for building your October TBR: • [Episode 235 "A crate full of summer reads"]( with Zibby Owens. This episode is full of book recommendations for any time of year. • [Episode 185 "What should you read this summer?"]( with special guest, our producer Brenna. Listener call-in episodes are so much fun! • [Episode 176 "Books in the freezer, and other horror stories"]( with author Mallory O'Meara. If you're in the mood for something spooky, this is the perfect episode to download. 3 things I love (and a bunch of book lists): - Two time podcast guest Mel Joulwan ([60]() & [219]() recently shared [13 books we love that are set in the library because libraries are the best](). I couldn't agree more, and I was thrilled to add some new titles to my own TBR. - [These literary quotes about Autumn](=) inspired me to change up my letter board for the season. - If Episode 176 isn't scary enough for you, try these [22 spooky new books that will put you in a Halloween state of mind](=). And if (like me), you tend to avoid books that send shivers down your spine, try these [31 spooky (but not too scary) books for your fall reading list](). 1 thing I don't [From cut-out confessions to cheese pages (you read that right): browse the world's strangest books](=). Some of these books are downright creepy (but also fascinating). What I'm reading now I'm halfway through [this much-anticipated sequel on audio](, and thoroughly enjoying [this new historical novel]() on my Kindle. Happy reading! Anne P.S. I just signed more books at my local indie! [Click here to order your signed copies](=) of [Don't Overthink It](, [I'd Rather Be Reading](, or [Reading People](, and specify "signed copy" in your order comments. Thanks and enjoy!
