This was one of the most important lessons I learnt as a CEO… And I learnt it the hard way. If you are having trouble viewing this email, [click here.]( [Mindvalley Logo]( If you’re a CEO, founder or C-level executive, the story I’m about to share may not be what some of you are ready to hear.  Because it’s an inconvenient truth about being a business leader.  But if you pay attention, it’ll shift how you present and carry yourself the next time you step into the boardroom or talk to investors. You see, in mid-2016, I was about to launch my first-ever book, The Code of the Extraordinary Mind.  My team and I were excited to get the word out before the release.  So we hired a PR agency to help set up a press tour around New York to meet prominent magazines and TV channels.  But despite all the effort we put in…  I got virtually ZERO press.  The one host of a TV show that did interview me later turned to my PR agent and said:  “I’m sorry… But he feels like an ‘Indian professor.’ Nobody is going to care.” I admit, that really hurt.  To explain what happened, I want you to take a look at this pic of me in 2015 – just a year prior to me releasing my book. [Vishen Lakhiani]( I was about to hit 40.  As you can see in the pic, I was way, way, way behind all my health and fitness goals.  My skin was a mess. My hair was thinning. And I clearly had some excess body fat to lose.  And while I did start my health transformation the same year this pic was taken, I was still in transition and hadn’t reached my peak by the time I was releasing my book.  Point is…  Like it or not, how you come across and how you show up will influence your mission in the world.  The problem is that a lot of business leaders have a flawed view of their business and of themselves.  While I had heavily invested time, money and energy on hiring for Mindvalley, and at the time had over 200 people working on running my company…  I had ZERO people working on me.  Just like we have people working on every aspect of our business…  We also need people to work on every aspect of our lives – from our health, our mental wellbeing, our spirituality, our connections with people, and more – if we want to truly achieve our life mission.  This was one of the most valuable lessons I learnt as a founder CEO.  And it’s why I’m really excited about my newest four-hour [Life Mastery for CEOs & Founders]( seminar I’m hosting this Sunday, August 28.  Because while you may be the Chief Executive Officer of your company… You also need to become the Chief Life Officer of yourself.  And by the way, here’s a comparison of what I looked then and what I look like now just seven years apart. [Vishen Lakhiani]( [Apply to the Life Mastery for CEOs & Founders seminar]( So if you want to learn the tools I used for the last seven years that helped maximize my performance and income – while unlocking vibrant health, youthful energy and freeing up my time…  I invite all CEOs, founders and C-level executives to apply to this free four-hour online seminar.  [Full details are on this page >>](  Keep Evolving, [Vishen Lakhiani Signoff] Vishen, Founder - Mindvalley Author of [The Code of the Extraordinary Mind]( and [The Buddha and the Badass]( Follow The Real Me on [I]([nstagram]( Step into your greatness [Join Mindvalley Today](www.mindvalley.com/membership?otag=footer) [Get it on Google Play](   [Download on the App Store]( [Mindvalley on Facebook]( [Mindvalley on Twitter]( [Mindvalley on Instagram]( [Mindvalley on Youtube]( [Mindvalley on Linkedin]( [Mindvalley on Telegram]( [Support Center]( | [Privacy Policy]( | [Unsubscribe]( | [Log In]( 14525 SW Millikan Way #31545 Beaverton, OR 97005-2343
