Can this ‘wonder drug’ eradicate obesity? Or is it too good to be true? [Mindvalley Logo]     When the world got a whiff of Hollywood’s ‘dirty little weight loss secret,’ it sent people into a frenzy. Ozempic. A once-a-week injectable to help people with type-2 diabetes manage their blood sugar was hailed as a game-changing weight loss drug. And last year, it hit the mainstream in a massive way with countless before-and-after pictures on social media evangelizing this new wonder drug. On Tik Tok alone, Ozempic-related videos racked up 383 MILLION views.   [Eric Edmeades](   So, is the hype real? Well, let’s first talk about what happens when you take Ozempic. People report feeling fuller for longer, a more regulated appetite, and a reduction in hunger and cravings. And early studies show patients losing up to 15% of body weight over a year when combined with exercise and a healthy diet. Keep in mind, the weight loss is not just body fat but also muscle mass. For the most part, so far, so good… right? Well, here’s where things get a little complicated. The side effects. Nausea, constipation and diarrhea are the most common on that list. So it’s not unusual for folks taking Ozempic to also be prescribed additional medications to manage these side effects. But perhaps, the risk is worth it? Virtually all drugs come with side effects. And most people have come to accept that. But here’s something else you need to consider. Studies have shown that weight loss typically plateaus after year 2. And coming off the drug completely results in regaining the weight (2/3 of participants regained it back within a year). Now, I’m not here to vilify Ozempic. Or the people who use them. It’s become a lifeline for many suffering from type-2 diabetes. But at Mindvalley, we believe in teaching you what you NEED to know. Not just what you WANT to know. So if you’ve been thinking about trying Ozempic, I want you to open your mind to [another possibility.]( Remember the benefits of Ozempic I shared earlier?   - Feeling fuller for longer - A more regulated appetite - Reduced hunger and cravings   What if you could achieve this naturally. The massive health benefit is that I am no longer diabetic, have come off my medication and I no longer have acid reflux, so those pills have gone, too. I have also released 36 pounds in weight (only 24 still to go) and lost 15.5 inches. I joined this programme in the hope of improving my health, and I have definitely achieved that.”   Babs Burchell Local Government Principal Officer Conwy, United Kingdom   Want to learn more about WILDFIT?
