Try this simple trick the next time you have a sudden urge to snack. [Mindvalley Logo] β€Š β€Š If you've ever found yourself wrestling with the urge to snack or battling food cravings, this email could be a game-changer for you. I'll share a unique concept that I picked up from Eric Edmeades, the creator of WILDFIT, which completely abolished my food cravings. It's known as the '[6 Human Hungers.]( Traditionally, we've been taught to interpret hunger as our body's plea for food. But, what if that's not what your body is truly asking for? Consider this: One type of hunger is actually thirst. Our ancient ancestors had limited access to clean water, so they derived most of their hydration from the food they ate. Over time, we evolved to experience hunger when we're merely thirsty. After learning this from Eric, I implemented a simple, yet effective trick. I noticed that I would often feel peckish around 5 pm each day. Upon reflection, I realized this was likely due to my consumption of 2-3 cups of coffee daily, which, as you may know, is a diuretic, leading to dehydration. In the past, I would reach for a protein bar, or some fruits and nuts to quell this hunger. Now, I simply drink two glasses of water, and voila, the hunger dissipates. I encourage you to give it a try and see the results for yourself. So, what about the other types of hunger? β€Š [health transformation approach]( β€Š Well, let me provide you with a couple of clues... Did you know that one of these 'hungers' is deeply tied to how your mother responded to your cries as a child? Another 'hunger' isn't even a genuine hunger. It's a linguistic limitation of the English language that leads many of us to eat unnecessarily when we don't need to. In this brief video, Eric unveils some of the intriguing reasons behind why we feel 'hungry.' When you grasp the reality, you'll find yourself capable of curbing unconscious binge eating, cutting back on cravings, and regaining confidence in your food choices.
