As we’ve been reimagining what communities with people magic look like, we keep coming back to one thing. What if every profile was a window into more of your community? Imagine a member looking at another member's profile page. What if they could: ⭐️ See more members like that person ⭐️ Explore your community via badges that person earned ⭐️ Connect with that person around their answers to custom questions As we dove deeper into the possibilities, we realized two things. First, no member profile could be a dead end. They should surface other, relevant members to the person browsing, as well as be a useful way to explore the programs, courses, and events in your community. [Members explorer]( Second, this new profile should be standard on every platform that supports courses, community, and memberships. Members who join communities are hungry to meet new people. A course or chat alone with no profiles is a shadow of what’s possible. The similar members were one piece of the puzzle. But we didn’t stop there. While most course creators and community hosts think about badges as a way to reward their members (and they are), we saw badges as another obvious way for members to explore the profiles of other members in the community. That’s why we just added Member Badges. Member Badges make a profile page more fun to explore. [Members Badges]( You can add badges from Settings > Members and choosing the new Tags and Badges tab. We also have a [template]( to help you make them look awesome. They are available on our [Courses Plan]( and above. Once you’ve created a badge, you can give that badge to any member. They’ll be notified of the new badge and it will appear on their profile page. [Members Badges]( From here, we’ll add automated workflows to make giving badges something you set up once and just happens. Stay tuned. The last piece? Custom Fields. The final pieces of a reimagined member profile are the very specific segments that will help the most relevant members find each other. I mentioned this before, but imagine your own community’s version of: All members who are practicing psychics in Chicago All members with children the same age in Austin All members in their first 30 days of sobriety in New York City All members making over $250,000/year with the goal of $1M We’re working now on the ability to create these custom fields that will connect members in the People Explorer as well as from every profile. The results will be profound. Bringing it all together to create people magic Hopefully, you can start to see how much more interesting, relevant, and alive your member connections become with these new profile pages, badges, and custom fields. [Image]( The People Explorer, the new profile page, member badges, and custom fields are all great. But I’ve got one more mindblowing member engagement feature to share. And it’s designed to make you look like a star, {NAME}.
