It’s time to take action to prevent mass shootings The Michigan Victory Fund is dedicated to keeping Michigan and the U.S. Senate blue. To opt-out of future emails please click [unsubscribe]( Friend, Last weekend there was another horrific mass shooting in Michigan. This time at a splash pad in Rochester Hills where kids and families were cooling off from the heat. Tragically, this is the second time in recent memory that this community has dealt with a mass shooting. We urgently need action. Last year, I joined President Biden and called for a ban on the assault weapons so often used in mass shootings. [If you stand with President Biden and me, can you add your name to our petition now?]( We can’t let a tragedy like this happen again. But here in Michigan, Republicans are doing worse than nothing. Instead of acting to save lives, GOP lawmakers recently introduced a bill to make the AR-15 the Michigan state gun. It’s shameful. Look, I proudly led the effort to expand community behavioral health clinics nationwide. Providing access to better mental health services is important, but it’s not enough if we're going to stop the epidemic of gun violence in our country. For our kids and for our families, it’s time to come together to take action to keep dangerous weapons out of our communities. Earlier this year, I called on Congress to pass a bill that I co-sponsored that would ban military-style assault weapons. And I am renewing my call for Republicans to join Democrats and President Biden in supporting that ban. [If you agree, will you add your name and sign my petition today? We can't give up until our communities are safe.]( [SIGN ON]( Thank you so much, Debbie Stabenow --------------------------------------------------------------- Paid for by the Michigan Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee authorized by Great Lakes PAC and the Michigan Democratic State Central Committee Contributions or gifts to Michigan Victory Fund are not tax deductible.
