In case we haven’t met, I’m Jackie, Michelle’s Finance Director. I wanted to give you a quick update on who our campaign is up against and where we are financially as we start to look towards the general election. There’s a lot that we want to accomplish in the next month to ensure that Michelle is ready to go up against the Republican nominee in TX-15. [If you’re short on time, I completely understand. With less than one week until early voting starts, so are we! Please consider making a donation right now and coming back to read the rest of this email when you can to hear more about how we are putting your dollars to use.]( Right now, Republicans are putting big money behind candidates like Monica De La Cruz. Michelle wants to use her platform to advocate for economic, climate, and immigration justice, while Monica wants to bring back harmful Trump-era policies like Remain in Mexico and oppose policies like Medicare for All. So here’s the situation: Monica De La Cruz’s campaign and Republicans backing her are spending SERIOUS money on TV right now. They want to get her in front of voters to inspire them to “finish what Trump started.” The more people see that type of message, the more likely it is that someone like her will be the Republican nominee in March. This is what we are up against and we have to push back. When it comes to ramping up our digital presence to match the kind of exposure Republican candidates are getting, this will be the most expensive part. We want to get Michelle on every outlet we can to make sure she has the opportunity to talk about what matters to us — healthcare for all, free public college + trade school, and border justice. I’ll be honest, {NAME}. We have some funds in the bank but if we want to be able to match what Republicans are spending to oppose Michelle and everything we stand for, we need more to ramp things up. We are counting on supporters like you to help us do that. I have no doubts that Michelle is the strongest candidate to win this primary and take on whoever becomes the Republican nominee. [Can we count on you to make a donation today to take our campaign to the next level before the primary? Any amount you can contribute gets Michelle closer to representing our community in Congress.]( [Donate »]( Your support means everything to us. Thank you for being part of this fight to grow our movement and put us in the best position to win.
