There’s much more to sudden resignation of Naspers CEO

Boardroom changes are usually aired weeks and months in advance to settle market nerves ahead of the resignation of the chief executive. Hence there will be intrigue in the company’s surprise announcement yesterday that its long-serving CEO, Bob Van Dijk, has resigned with immediate effect and an interim chief executive being appointed in his stead. No one saw this coming, which may explain the slide in Naspers shares. We will be looking much deeper into the story of Bob and Naspers along with the company’s chairperson, Koos Bekker.
