[View in browser]( [Mail & Guardian]( M&G Mornings | Wed 03 May   [ozayr_patel_hello-1] What a Wednesday we have in store, there’s so much happening in the news world. Today, the Thabo Bester saga continues. There will be bail applications for those allegedly involved in his escape from Mangaung prison, including by a number of people employed by security company G4S. The most recent arrests were made on Monday. This brings the number of suspects to eight. Also today, the Eskom board will be before parliament’s standing committee on public accounts (Scopa). The board will face questions about corruption, sabotage and cartels at the power utility, as alleged by former Eskom chief executive André de Ruyter. The ANC will also be in court today to take on De Ruyter for alleging that Eskom was the feeding trough for the party. The ANC believes De Ruyter’s claims can seriously affect its credentials ahead of next year’s national elections. Like I said, a bumper day ahead. Stay tuned to the M&G for coverage.
