Thursday, September 7, 6:30–7:30 pm
The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium Join artist Nairy Baghramian and Akili Tommasino, Associate Curator, Department of Modern and Contemporary Art, The Met, for a conversation about [The Facade Commission: Nairy Baghramian, Scratching the Back](. Baghramian's work for The Met Fifth Avenue's facade, her first public installation in New York City, comprises four abstract polychrome sculptures with components that seem to have washed up like flotsam and jetsam in the voids of their respective niches. Her sculptures and installations explore the dynamics of the body, gender, and dichotomies of private and public space. Free, though advance registration is required. Note: Space is limited; first come, first served. [Register now →]( [Family Afternoon—Explore the 81st Street Studio](
