Meteor Monthly Newsletter We have a few things to cover in this month’s newsletter - from the latest version of Meteor, a new blog series called Meteor Monthly Update, Meteor Impact 2022, and finally upcoming Meteor Meetups. Let’s get started with the most recent version of Meteor below! Meteor 2.7 & 2FA The Meteor 2.7 release has several important updates, one of which being the new accounts-2fa package, which you can read more about in our blog post regarding the changes. It’s important to read the [Migration Guide]( step by step before upgrading. We've also highlighted some of the modifications below. Highlights: • Accounts-2FA: two-factor authentication with the accounts-password and accounts-passwordless • TailwindCSS 3.x support • Support for PostCSS • Support for node: imports, so you need to update meteor-node-stubs For full details on the release, click on the link below to access our Meteor [changelog](. Our focus for this year is to be more transparent and open with our community and the work we do behind the scenes. That’s why we’ll be creating a monthly blog post that will talk about Meteor announcements, new features, updates, events, and so on. The first post is now published in our blog. Meteor’s biggest online conference will be back this year and will be led by Jan Dvořák (aka Storyteller). This year, the dates will be October 13th and October 14th, 2022. Last year’s conference was a major success, with over 490+ attendees and 40 talks and we’re planning to make this year’s event even BIGGER and BETTER! If you want to stay up to date with the latest Meteor Impact news, make sure you’re following us on our social media pages or signed up for an Impact account. [STAY UPDATED]( Meteor Meetups in April Last but not least, we’re also going to be doing more Meteor meetups this year. There are two free workshops happening on April 19 at 6 PM EST, hosted by Alim Gafar and Justin Krup. You’ll get a chance to do some networking and socializing with fellow developers as well. We have another event which is the first Meteor Brazil Meetup for this year happening on April 27th at 4 PM EST with Frederico Maia and Henrique Schmaiske. There will be a presentation about Starting With Meteor and another session for networking with Brazilian developers. This event will be held in Brazilian Portuguese 🇧🇷 (PT-BR).
