What a relief!
If youâre opening this email, let me start by saying thanks for sticking with me this week.
I don't usually send as many emails as I have in the past few days. In fact, I only do this once every few years. And this week was one of those times.
In case youâve been taking a holiday from emails this week, Iâm referring to [The Vault](, which launched this past Wednesday after months of behind-the-scenes preparation at the MessyNessy lab.
If youâre one of the hundreds of Keyholders that have already unlocked The Vault, thank you for putting your trust in the underdog. You get it. And Iâm so excited to continue this journey together with you.Â
But some of you may also have more questions...Â
One longtime reader wrote and asked will any of the content will still be free on MessyNessyChic?Â
Hereâs my answer:
Yes, there will still be free content. In fact, in this weekendâs conversation starters we meet The Real Snow White and go in search of "Parisian Cairo" as well as the worldâs most magical gardens. Your weekly dose of 13 Things will always be there too.
But going forward, I will be dedicating a lot of my time to creating Keyholder content that will be kept inside The Vault. Just this week, thereâs a brand new series dedicated to Collectors Items du Jour and we also went behind the curtain of New Yorkâs thriving subculture of fortune tellers and found some serious design inspiration in the drawing boards of the Ballet Russes.Â
Thatâs just the start of it, weâve also created an entire Library of eBooks for Keyholders, including travel guides, hacks and reports - with new eBooks being launched every month.Â
These eBooks are hidden in The Vault and don't appear anywhere on the public site. But once inside, youâll have full access. From incredible weekends like a local in London, Paris and New York to road trips across Scotland, Romania and more, weâve got you covered. This week, Iâve been working on Provence and Berlin is close behind!
Iâm also planning our upcoming Keyholder events, engaging with members one-on-one, advising on specific travel queries and itineraries via our Keyholder Concierge service. For example, I love that I didnât have to feel guilty today about spending my time helping a reader plan their 40th birthday in Paris.Â
And I canât tell you what a pleasure it is to read our articles the way they should be: on a widescreen, magazine-style layout without ads getting in the way of a good story.Â
So you can see, there are lots of wheels turning and new doors opening inside The Vault and [I hope you take a look]( and consider joining.
And donât forget, if you become a Keyholder before the end of Sunday, you can get 25% off your wise but very modest investment! Just use the discount code âKEYHOLDERACCESSâ at [checkout](.
Mull it over with your Weekend Conversation Starters below. Hope to see you on the other side.
Yours faithfully,
[Nessy]Â Â

We could play a game here to start off. I could show you a series of ten vintage photographs and you guess which ones were taken in Paris and which ones were taken in Egypt. And to make it interesting, letâs say you get 2 seconds per photo to decide. Ready?

Nineteenth century Russia was restless, and so was Léon Bakst. Today, his name is âa byword for excitement, for colour and glamourâ and a radical new approach toâ¦

âThis is China? It looks like a fairyland,â was Nessyâs first reaction to Li Ziqiâs (æåæ) vlogs. Our team watched, entranced, as Ziqi scurried through the misty morning air of her village, dutifully followed by not one but three baby animals (two puppies and lamb); we observed her gather nuts and fruits in a dewyâ¦
