Hey {NAME}, I will never forget the first time I launched an online course. I sent a survey to my audience asking what they wanted help with most. Almost everyone said they wanted to know how to increase their traffic — and my blog traffic was through the roof! There was just one little problem: I hadn’t really taught anyone my traffic-generating strategy before, and no one else was teaching the method I was using. Sure, it had worked for me… but what if it was a fluke? And what if no one wanted to learn how to use it? Who was I to launch a course, anyway?! Talk about major imposter syndrome, {NAME} . Luckily, I did launch that online program… and it brought in about $30,000 in just one month. It would take me THREE months to make that type of revenue in my web design job, and was pretty much my entire annual salary just a couple years prior when I was a teacher. I was blown away. You know what I realized after that, {NAME}? As a content creator, I was the perfect person to create an information-based product. And so are YOU. Think about it: you’re already building an audience around your expertise. Whether it’s through Youtube, a blog, a podcast, weekly Facebook lives… your audience is tuned in to get your information. And it’s no secret that people are turning to the online learning space now more than ever before (in fact, Forbes suggests it will be a $325 billion industry by 2025… woah!). So my question to you is… are you ready to show up and serve your people through an online program? "Yeah, that sounds great Mel… but isn’t everyone creating online courses? Why would someone buy mine if it’s already been done?" It’s already been done? Um… that’s awesome! You know why? Because it shows people WANT what you have to offer! Talk about product validation, yo. Plus, consumers like to browse through various options (and many people like to learn from a medley of teachers). If you wanted to master your finances, would you only read ONE finance book? If you wanted to learn how to lose 10 pounds, would you only watch ONE weight loss video YouTube? Nope! Your potential customers are always looking for new people to learn from! Besides — you have a unique perspective and voice. You have different experiences from other people in your industry, which means you’ll attract people who resonate with your unique story, vibe, and approach. And if you’re already creating content… then you likely have an audience that’s waiting to buy from you! Pretty exciting, huh? So where do you go from here?
