[image] Yo {NAME}! Would you like to grow your Instagram following? Well I’m coming in hot today with a killer Instagram growth challenge for you! We all LOVE the ‘gram, and not just for its memes (although let’s be real, those are great too). With over 1 billion monthly active users, a large Instagram following is a great way to get more sales, increase your blog traffic, and build a stronger brand. Now you may be thinking, “That’s great, Melyssa. But I don’t have a large following, so…” *YET! You don’t have a large following YET! We’re about to change that :). I’ve compiled a list of 6 simple things you can do THIS WEEK to grow your Instagram following and get more eyeballs on your amazing content. BUUUUUUT…instead of just handing it over, I want to challenge you to actually take action! After all, that Instagram won’t grow itself. If you’re ready to uplevel your Insta game, here’s what I want you to do: - Take a picture of your Instagram followers # right now. This is your starting point! - Pick at least three strategies from the list below to implement this week. - Set an alert one week from your starting day to check in on your growth. Share your results on your story and tag [@melyssa_griffin]( so I can see what you’ve achieved! Got that? Awesome! Let’s dive into the 6 strategies to grow your Instagram like a boss! 1. GET SOCIAL It ain’t called social media for nothin’! Search hashtags or check out your favorite Instagrammers’ followers to find profiles you genuinely like. Then head in there and leave some love on their content! But don't skimp on your comments -- you want your thoughts to stand out from the rest, so avoid comments like "cool photo!" and infuse your responses with why you love their photo so much. The more you do this, the more these Instagrammers (and their followers) will notice how interesting and authentic you are. Win win, right?! 2. CREATE A THEME You know how you look at a profile and just KNOW what it’s all about? The same should happen when someone visits yours! Write down a few words you want people to associate with your account, then [create a Pinterest board]( of images that visually represent what you're going for. Whenever you're stuck for what kind of content to create, reference your pinterest board for inspiration. Psst: If you want to learn how to get insane results on pinterest, [check out my program, Pinfinite Growth, here.]( 3. CREATE A HASHTAG A custom hashtag is a great way to build community and get user-generated content for your account. Brainstorm a phrase that fits your brand (and make sure it isn't already taken), and then start using and promoting your hashtag to your audience to encourage them to use it, too. This way, you can repost any great content that your community shares with your hashtag (giving them credit, of course!) AND you're also creating a deeper sense of community with your people. Sweet, right? 4. ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT It sounds simple, but sometimes people just need a bit of guidance. What do you want your followers to do? Like your photo if they agree? Comment with a similar experience? Let them know in your caption. Getting engagement (comments and likes) is a major part of Instagram's algorithm, so encouraging your followers to engage with your stuff is a great way for them to actually do it. 5. USE INSTAGRAM STORIES If you haven’t already hopped on the Stories train, what are you waiting for?! Over 400 million people are flocking to Stories DAILY. From boomerangs to video to sharing what you’re listening to on Spotify, this is a great way to connect with your current followers and add new ones. Let’s be honest...this is where I spend all majority of time when gettin’ my gram on. It's also an amazing way to build a deeper connection with your tribe. 6. LINK YOUR ACCOUNTS This one's a quickie! If you have an email list, blog, Facebook page, etc, then make sure to share your Instagram page with the subscribers you have elsewhere. It may seem basic, but you'll undoubtedly have followers elsewhere who haven't yet scoped you out on Instagram. It's an easy way to grow your community across the map. So, remember your homework? Pick at least three Instagram tips above and get crackin’ on implementing them. Then share your results in your story next week and tag me [@melyssa_griffin]( so I can happy dance with you :). Can’t wait to see what you achieve! xoxo Melyssa [Unsubscribe]( The Nectar Collective, LLC 1450 2nd Street Suite #361 Santa Monica, California 90401 United States
