Hi. David Cross here. I wanted to make a couple things clear, including an important correcting of the record. First, if you were hoping to see my current stand-up comedy tour, all my shows are sold out. I'm sorry. I'm very popular. Second, the Republican Party is also sold out. To Donald Trump. They had a chance to nominate anyone in all of Arizona this election year to run for secretary of state and count the votes in 2024...and they chose a Jan. 6 insurrectionist named Mark Finchem. That's crazy. Which leads to my third point. Something weird happened two weeks ago. The Progressive Change Campaign Committee's Super PAC and Meidas Touch released a new video depicting insurrectionist Mark Finchem telling Tucker Carlson that if he wins secretary of state this year, "I get to pick the winners!" in 20‌24. [MeidasTouch tweet: "MAGA extremists are a parody of themselves. But their potential to win Secretary of State races and miscount our votes is no joke. This November, vote D all the way down ballot to save democracy. #Vote2022"]( All of a sudden, I saw these comments online: "gosh wow Mark Finchem reminds me of David Cross" "That's David Cross isn't it?" "Is that @davidcrosss in disguise?" "What a disgusting POS " "I really thought this was a David Cross bit." "Is this real or a parody?" "Please tell me that's @davidcrosss pulling a fast one or I'm gonna lose it." "Are we sure that's not really @davidcrosss posing as Mark Finchem?" FOR THE RECORD: I am not insurrectionist Mark Finchem. The confusion must end. For the love of God, STOP SHARING THIS VIDEO on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. A WARNING: [After this deceptive video was viewed over 1.7 MILLION times and people LAUGHED about a very serious issue, the PCCC and Meidas Touch had the audacity to ask people to chip in to help make MORE viral videos like this. PLEASE DO NOT DONATE HERE!]( Political videos are supposed to be boring and depressing. That's why they are called political videos. If you want comedy, buy tickets to a comedy show – just not mine, because again, I am very popular and there are none left. So again: [Donating to the PCCC and Meidas Touch will only result in more crazy videos like this on the Internet, making people laugh at serious issues and sharing the confusion with others. You can help prevent it. Tell everyone you know – do not click this link.]( Thank you. – David Cross [Text GOLD to 67400 to receive texts from MeidasTouch]( This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
