The sleeper hit of the summer - Usually, [on Meh]( a hit is obvious immediately. Often, in that first hour it’ll be clear that people love it and they're flying off the shelves. But sometimes a hit can sneak up on us. For instance, [these Presto Dorothy Cold Brewers]( - we're well over 300 2-packs sold today, but the real story gets clearer when you add in a couple of Meh-rathon spots and the first time we sold these - you all have picked up over 1200 cold brewers so far. That's starting to look like the sleeper hit of the summer, in [movie parlance]( - something that grows in popularity after its launch. Back in May, we sold 613 of these in a day, while today we've already passed 670 cold brewers. So what drives that? Well, let's be honest, it’s hugely that we were able to get the price down to 2 for $20, which solidly gets this into the “oh sure, why not” level of fun, certainly if you’ve got a friend to share one with. But it's also key that we got some good word of mouth from the past buyers - and that's especially helpful for a quirky product like this that most of you haven’t seen before. It goes a long way to hear a full, honest opinion like what [@jimdkc]( said: I bought one of these from Meh in May for $20. It is fun to use. The filter does allow too much sediment in the coffee. It does take about twice as long as advertised. It is super messy and time consuming to clean and dispose of the grounds. All that said, it does make pretty good cold brew! It’s also helpful to find out you might be able to use this even if you’re not a traditional coffee fan, like [@justdave88]( I bought this last time it came in. It works to cold brew Iced tea with loose leaf tea, as well. I’m really happy with it. And the clincher could be that it’s just fun to watch it go, which…plenty of entertainment costs a lot more than 10 bucks these days. Take it from [@mossygreen]( It’s fun but it’s so messy to clean. I haven’t tried it with tea or anything else yet. I do love watching the tornado. Whether it's your love of a good price drop, finding some alternate uses, embracing your cold brew curiosity, or just wanting to watch a cool tornado, it looks like we've got ourselves a sleeper hit here. - Dave (and the rest of [Meh]( [update your account]( or [unsubscribe]( [Meh]( · 4717 Plano Parkway · Suite 130 · Carrollton, TX 75010
