[MDA - Muscular Dystrophy Association]( [Donate Now]( [2024: A Year of Promise and Progress] During these first weeks of 2024, we are filled with a sense of excitement and optimism. We’re looking ahead, focused on progress that surpasses the limits of what is thought possible. This year holds incredible promise. At the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), we believe that a new generation of life-changing research advancements are within reach. In the 1980s, MDA's Genetic Task Force led the way to the discovery of the gene that causes Duchenne muscular dystrophy, paving the way for the breakthroughs we see today in genetic medicine. Today, MDA remains committed to pushing the boundaries of scientific investigation further and faster to generate transformative discoveries in the fight against neuromuscular disease. We believe we can significantly impact the landscape of neuromuscular disease for all children and adults, but we cannot do it without you. We can’t wait to bring you along this exciting journey with us into 2024 and beyond. Whether you [donate]( [volunteer]( [advocate]( or [get involved]( in a way that suits you, you're a vital part of MDA’s 74-year legacy of pushing the limits of science and medicine to reset the trajectory of diseases like muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, ALS, and hundreds of others. Together, we will face the challenges and celebrate the victories that this year will bring. With your support, we can make 2024 a landmark year for people living with neuromuscular disease. Here's to a year of momentous progress and transformational impact!
