Take Confidence from the Stock Rally

There are bulls in the market today, but it might be too soon to call an end to the bear market. Movement across indexes has been positive but we'd need to see more sustained growth. Here's what has been happening in the markets, and where they might go next. Movement in the NASDAQ has been positive. It finished the week up 2.5%, leaving it up 8.79% over the last 30 days. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has also been trending upwards. It's flat over the last week but up 4.68% over 30 days. The S&P 500, another major benchmark, is up 0.36% over the week and 6.30% over 30 days. These are good numbers but they're not strong enough to suggest that the bear market is over. However, there are some very positive areas to consider, especially in the tech sector. Some of the smaller companies are seeing rapid growth, and they now present viable alternatives to the usual FAANMG growth stocks. ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) is a standout example. This provider of cloud computing solutions has been steadily growing its revenue in recent years. It has a gross margin of 77.05% and an EBITDA margin of 10.94%. Profitability continues to increase. Analysts believe it could generate more than $16 billion in revenue per year within the next decade. Over the next 12 months, a price target of $558.35 is expected.
