In France, eating traditional cheese is a patriotic duty

The country is far from alone in its food supply struggles as producers rush to meet the excess demand of some staples while simultaneously facing a massive surplus of specialty items. In France, traditional, regionally protected cheese falls into the latter category. So the French are being asked to buy, eat, stock up on, and cherish the country’s beloved cheeses.
