Marketers need a unified platform, not more standalone tools. [View in browser]( | [Share]() [Martech: Martech is Marketing]() Apr 11, 2023 Apr 11, 2023 Good morning, Marketer, may your spreadsheets all deliver the right numbers to you. Does anyone need an AI chatbot for their site? To be clear: I’m not talking about AI/ChatGPT functionalities like using natural language when working with large language models. I mean that little pop-up chat thing in the lower corner of a website. I’ve encountered them on the sites of large corporations and small agencies and never considered using one. They’re the digital equivalent of the salesperson who attaches themselves to you the moment you walk in the door. With the [price of ChatGPT’s API now so low](), the darn things are everywhere — even an online estate sale site I visit. It’s entirely possible I’m an outlier and the usage numbers are through the roof. In which case, ignore me (a recommendation I make a lot). Right now, though, I’m betting this is another case of pop-ups becoming an internet irritant.
