4 areas of martech with ethical concerns [View in browser]( | [Share]() [Martech: Martech is Marketing]() Feb 16, 2023 Feb 16, 2023 Good morning, Marketer, help is on the way! After all the (justifiable) ChatGPT elation, the real problems with AI-powered chatbots are getting more attention. Top of the list is they make mistakes. Google became the poster child for this when its chatbot gave incorrect answers at its unveiling. That must mean it’s not as good as Microsoft’s Bing, right? Wrong. Turns out Bing’s AI also gave out wrong answers at its unveiling. Fortune even has a story with the headline: “Bing is getting ‘unhinged’ and argumentative, some users say: It ‘feels sad and scared.’” I’m sure I’d feel the same if I were in its place. This is why Bing’s terms of service says, “You should not rely on the Online Services and you should not use the Online Services for advice of any kind.” These programs will very quickly improve, but there’s no telling when they’ll be fully reliable. Until then they should have a warning label, something like, “Do not make heavy decisions while using.” Speaking of improving, we’d like your help with that.
