I'm the only member of Congress who does each of these three things. To me, public service is about serving people. And I don't think you can do that very effectively if some big corporation has you in their pocket. So, one of the first things we decided was that I was never — ever — going to take donations from corporate PACs. Not a dime. We also wanted people to know what I was up to, so we decided to publish my official Senate schedule. That way Arizonans can see how I’m spending my time serving them. And as elected officials, we have access to a lot of private information — enough that it can shape entire industries. We wanted to make it clear that I couldn't use the information I learned in Congress to make money. So, I put all of my assets in blind trusts. Now, I'm the only member of Congress who does each of these three things. But I think it’d help fix Washington if we convinced a few more members to join me.
