[image](=) [image] This Week in the Market Stocks slipped lower this holiday-shortened week, but not by much as buyers keep pushing them higher after gaps lower. The market is still resilient, although plenty of negative talk about it moving lower in the near future has resurfaced. That remains to be seen. Traders and investors should stay vigilant and focus on support levels that so far have held for the most part. Implied volatility levels have crept lower, although there are some skews out there this week especially on the SPY. We are back to a full week of trading, and it is packed with volatility events. There are Federal Reserve speakers every day except for Thursday, and multiple economic reports are due out this week, including the notes from the last Fed meeting on Wednesday afternoon. There are lots of potential volatility events this week, so more doubles will be warranted. AMZN â The stock closed between its 50- and 200-day moving averages. If the market holds, bull put spreads below the 50-day will be considered. CRM â After moving higher for several months, the stock just recently broke its uptrend.
