[image]( [image] This Week in the Market Although last week was another crazy one, when the dust settled and trading stopped the major indexes did not lose much ground overall based on all the gaps and intraday moves. That said, the big three are all well below their 50- and 200-day moving averages with the S&P 500 closest to touching the 200-day. The mighty 200-day can be a significant line in the sand so to speak, so if the indexes can get back above that level -- where they have traded for a long time until recently -- it would be a bullish sign. Implied volatility levels remain quite elevated even with the market leveling off a tad over the past few sessions. Quarterly earnings continue to roll with Amazon, Alphabet and Meta just a few of the well-known stocks expected to announce this week. After this week, the brunt of big-name stocks’ earnings reports will be in the books. As always, be cognizant and check for earnings before entering trades. Bull put and bull call spreads will be outlined. AAPL – The stock gapped and traded higher on Friday after announcing. It closed right around its 50-day moving average. A move through that level could trigger additional long calls and bull call spreads. MARA – Cryptos still look weak, but that might change if the market rallies. Additional bear calls and bull puts will be considered until the downtrend is broken.
