[image]( [image] This Week in the Market With the S&P 500 closing lower over the past five sessions, there may be some concern that the eventual market pullback has started already. But as we have seen over the past several months, that has not been the case as buyers have stepped in time and time again and moved the indexes to all-time highs. Possible early market action this week may set the tone and see if the pullback is for real this time. The three major indexes all closed a fair amount lower this past week with the Dow taking the biggest hit and closing below its 50-day moving average. Implied volatility levels moved higher closing at levels not seen in several weeks. Is the market getting nervous and anxious? Market participants will have a full week of trading to look forward to this week after last weekâs Labor Day break. Several economic reports are due out this week and listed below, including CPI and the latest retail sales figure. At the time of this writing, there are no expected talks by any of the Fed members. In addition, the 50-day moving average is just below where the stock closed. If the market does not sell off in a big way, bull put spreads around the moving average will be modeled out.
