I’ve had a long, busy weekend of baseball with our son and preparing to roll out to our 4th game in 3 days. Just like with stocks, practicing with our son every day helps him grow and better his game. I’m a firm believer that if you put the time and effort into your craft you can get better results but if you sit back and do nothing then getting better is pretty difficult. True to my belief, I’ve been spending a lot of time myself trying to better my swing trade ideas and I think I’ve really found something. Over the last few months, I’ve been spending a lot of time digesting “AI” or Artificial Intelligence programs that provide alert systems for a variety of time intervals on a variety of stocks. I’ve been using a particular set of “Go” algorithms recently to help me hone in on possible trade ideas for my most popular momentum trading service, for both stocks and options. The “Go” signal has been something I’ve been using and testing on a 3 minute chart, 1 hour chart and on the daily charts. I love to see the “Go” signal on the daily and or hourly charts for swing ideas and on the 3 minute chart for “day trade” ideas or short term ideas. One example of a possible swing idea was with JAGX. Back on April 15th I alerted JAGX to my members around $.12 cents. The JAGX chart was just coming off a “Go” alert and price action was driving higher above a most recent high. Now, I don’t always rely solely on the “Go” signal. I usually like to couple that with my normal technical analysis and look for MACD crossovers, previous high breakouts, moving average line breakouts and things of this nature. I feel relying on just ONE signal isn’t the best choice for me but seeing many signals lined up makes me feel more confident in the setup. As you can see from the chart below, JAGX fired that “Go” signal and hasn’t looked back. Since that April 15th alert, JAGX has yet to post a “No Go” signal, which would signify a change in trend. The share price has risen from $.12s to over $.35 or nearly 200% in just a short period of time. This is what I love to see in my swing trade ideas. Strength, continuation, higher highs and higher lows, strong volume and of course, profit potential. *Note: Trading is hard, results not guaranteed and should not be expected to be replicated typically. Yeah, I won’t win every trade or every “Go” signal won’t pan out to be nearly 200% or for that matter a winner in general, but this is what “AI” is helping me find with my ideas.
