Plus, what we plan to unveil at SMX Advanced in June (trust us, it’s good).

Good morning, marketers, think Mailchimp is only good for email?
[Mailchimp launched its full-service marketing platform Monday](, adding a range of new features designed to support smaller marketing teams. The full-service platform includes a marketing CRM, a website management dashboard, social posting features and smart recommendations grounded in AI insights. The tiered, low-cost pricing offers a competitive edge against other leading players in the marketing and CRM space, making it a contender for small businesses on the hunt for an inexpensive, one-stop-shop marketing platform.
Amidst laser-focused efforts geared at user privacy, [Facebook is finally releasing a new “Clear History” tool it first announced last year]( – but advertisers may bear the brunt of the impact. The tool, which is reportedly rolling out in the coming months, will allow users to disconnect their off-Facebook web activity from their profile, but Facebook warned it will likely affect ad targeting capabilities. Once a user activates the tool, their off-Facebook behavior data will no longer be available for Facebook to use for ad targeting purposes. On a more positive note, the tool won’t impact measurement and analytics reporting – at least for now. It’s a brave new Facebook, and marketers should be taking note as we approach marketing strategies for the remainder of the year.
Speaking of ads, a number of [new format and feature announcements]( have come out of the first day of Google Marketing Live. The Discover feed is getting monetized for the first time and Gallery ads are getting introduced as well; make sure to explore both options if you’re looking to bolster your mobile ad campaigns.
Keep scrolling for details on a special SEO treat coming your way in the next few weeks. You can print it, present it, and even plan your SEO strategy with it.

Pro Tip
Your CTA must also stay true to the brand story
“Brands win customer loyalty when messaging and experience work together seamlessly. One without the other is either an empty promise or a missed opportunity,” says strategist Rachel Benner.
“It’s not enough to have a call-to-action. That action has to deliver on the story you’re sharing.”

SMX Update
What's new and important in SEO
The Periodic Table of the Elements was created in the mid-1800s to help chemists better understand the relationships between elements and guide best practices in working with them. Importantly, the Table also helped predict properties and behaviors of undiscovered or newly synthesized elements.
Similarly, we created Search Engine Land’s Periodic Table of SEO to help optimization practitioners understand the big picture of everything involved in creating content that is both search engine friendly and compelling to humans, and to fortify websites to withstand undiscovered or newly synthesized algorithm updates.
We’ll be releasing a fresh version of the Periodic Table of SEO at [SMX Advanced](. Everyone who attends the Periodic Table Of SEO Success Factors: 2019 Edition session will receive their own custom-printed version of the Table, suitable for framing or hanging on your office wall for ready reference. The session features an all-star lineup of Search Engine Land editors, including Jessica Bowman, Detlef Johnson, Barry Schwartz and Greg Sterling, making it a must-see event at the show.
All of the editors will also be on hand for Overtime, where they’ll be available to personally answer any and all questions you may have. Check out the full [SMX Advanced agenda]( and [register now](.
