How do you start building an email list? Dear Creative Professional, We got so many excellent questi

[View Online Version]( [60ish Birthday Fiesta & Flash Sale]( [60ish Birthday Fiesta & Flash Sale]( How do you start building an email list? Dear Creative Professional, We got so many excellent questions in preparation for my Live Birthday Fiesta (it's happening this Friday, June 24th at 12 PM ET and [it's not too late to RSVP here]().  Today I'm answering this one: "How do you start building an email list?"  As we head into uncertain times, one thing is sure: the more visible you are, the more business you'll have.  So it's time to put your email list in place. But who should be on it?  Anyone and everyone you know -- past and present, personal and professional. Because you never know who will need what you're offering.  Your network of connections on LinkedIn is an excellent place to start, as well as your email inbox.  Do you need permission? Yes, of course.  But don't say: "Can I put you on my email list?" No one wants that.  Instead, here's the way I like to ask:  "I like to stay in touch with regular tips so that you don't forget about me. May I send those to you via email?"  What's your version of that?  This is just a taste of what you'll learn at my [Live Birthday Fiesta](, this Friday, June 24 at 12 PM ET. I'll be joined by a panel of creatives (meet a few below) who are using email to do just that -- stay in touch with their network -- and it's working!  We will be celebrating their success and they'll share, in their own words, what they're learning about building a business on their own terms and how to get bigger clients with better budgets.  We'll also be kicking off my annual Birthday Flash Sale with lots of giveaways and a "mid-year" offer you won't be able to refuse. I hope you'll join us!
