Will The AI Hype Last? What About Quantum Computing & AI? Here's an excerpt: Honestly, I can't remember seeing this much excitement and trending buzz since the early days of social media. (Circa 2007-9). Professor Scott Galloway from NYU Stern School of Business said, "I’ve never seen a technology that’s entered the hype cycle this quickly." To reach the first million users, it took Spotify 150 days, Instagram 75 days and ChatGPT only 5 days! And then 100M in two months. (Of course, IMHO, to compare Spotify, IG and ChatGPT is not exactly apples to apples, is it?) BUT, in all honesty, I am not getting too pumped up myself on all the AI buzz for now. Yes, I like being an early adopter/adapter with tech, marketing, trends, etc. However, I am a well-researched, balanced, grounded early adopter! :) I love this quote by Seth Godin: "If your work isn’t more useful or insightful or urgent than GPT can create in 12 seconds, don’t interrupt people with it." Oh, but wait! Then there's QUANTUM COMPUTING. The other day, I saw a quote go by on Facebook from a respected marketer saying that everyone is talking about AI but we really ought to also be paying attention to quantum computing. [Read my full remarks]().] - Meta reaches more than 3.7Bn people monthly across its family of apps, including almost 3Bn on Facebook. - Facebook/Meta celebrated its 19th birthday on Feb 4th.
