Just launched a couple days ago, [meta.ai]() is Mark Zuckerberg starting to deliver on the bold claim he made back on February 1st: Meta plans to build a world-class AI assistant for ... basically EVERYONE in the world. "... a major goal will be building the most popular and most advanced AI products and services. If we succeed, everyone who uses our services will have a world-class AI assistant to help get things done, every creator will have an AI that their community can engage with, every business will have an AI that their customers can interact with to buy goods and get support, and every developer will have a state-of-the-art open source model to build with," [stated]( Zuckerberg on February 1st. [Bold added by me.] Think about that: EVERY creator, business, and developer will have access to this world-class AI assistant. I bolded the part related to businesses as my fellow marketers and business owners really need to pay attention to what's happening here!! Well, here we are. Meta [announced](=) on April 18, Meet Your New Assistant: Meta AI, Built With Llama 3. [Meta AI]( What exactly is Meta AI? Meta AI is a fusion of Meta's text-to-image generator 'Imagine with Meta AI' that first became [available](=) in December + Meta's own AI assistant that [launched](=) last September and was previously only available in Messenger and Instagram Direct as a chat tool. - Meta AI is built with Meta Llama 3, and is one of the world’s leading AI assistants, already on your phone, in your pocket for FREE. [Eh, read: Why pay for other tools when you can use Meta AI for free?! Lol. Yes, this will help increase time on site / in app] - You can use Meta AI on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger to get things done, learn, create and connect with the things that matter to you. - Meta is rolling out Meta AI in English in more than a dozen countries outside of the US: Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. If your country is not listed, have patience. I'm certain that Meta will be forging ahead to bring this new pervasive AI tool to all countries as fast as possible. Where / how do you access Meta AI Simply go to the search bar in Messenger, Instagram Direct, or WhatsApp and tap the little blue Meta AI logo at the end of the search bar. OR, you can go to [meta.ai]( on your computer and interact with this generative AI tool. You can even access Meta AI in feeds under each post to learn more about that post's topic. [😳] (Coming soon, if you don't see it yet). Then just type in your prompt to create text or images, ask questions, anything you would ask ChatGPT (or Google Gemini, or MS Copilot, or Perplexity, etc!). You can create images, add animation, and generate ANY kind of text response you want. Search results are pulled in real-time from Google and Bing. Meta AI is very fast with both text and images, and has probably as many use cases as Open AI's ChatGPT. Can you 'opt out' of Meta AI? In a word, NO. 😮 Meta AI is now being fully baked into Meta's entire family of apps and services. There is no way to opt out, from what I can tell so far. If you use Meta's platforms, you're also part of the great AI machine. BUT, it's not all bad. I've been amazed how many folks (business people) are seriously resisting artificial intelligence, thinking that it's a horrible enemy. Yes, there are some bad use cases, no question. But there are also some absolutely incredible use cases - certainly for businesses to increase efficiencies, provide better service, improve processes, and even make more sales among many other practical applications. Besides, we're ALL using some form of AI whether we realize it or not! That predictive text feature on your emails and texting (SMS) guessing what you're going to say next? Yep, that's AI. The social media feeds you scroll not knowing what content you're going to see? Yes, it's the AI-powered discovery engine that knows us all so well it can predict what we might like to see. Hmph. Anyway, my friend, what do you think? Do you see yourself using Meta AI much? [🤷‍♀️] You can reply to this email. And/or join the conversation on my FB [Page](=) or [Group](). That's all for now.
