I couldn’t breathe. I was dizzy and panicky. A voice inside my head said, Marie, you have to get out of here. “I need to go grab a coffee,” I said to my boss. I ran through the crowded New York Stock Exchange floor, past the shouting traders, and out on Wall Street. I ran as fast as I could. Where I was going, I wasn’t sure. But I ended up on the steps of the closest church. “This isn’t who I am. This isn’t what I want. This isn’t what I’m supposed to do with my life,” I cried. But what was I supposed to do? I had tens of thousands of dollars in debt and was on a career path that felt all wrong, but I had no backup plan, savings, or place to turn. I needed to keep working. Do you ever feel trapped like this, {NAME}? Like you don’t have the time, money, or space to live the life you actually want? I used to feel that way, too. There’s no better wake-up call than having a panic attack at work and crumbling into a crying mess on the church steps. In that instant, what was most important to me became crystal clear. It wasn’t rising up some corporate ladder. It wasn’t even success. It was FREEDOM. Over the next few years I realized — I would never have the freedom I craved working for someone else. Creating the life of my dreams meant I had to forge my own path. Fast-forward to today… - ✈️ I have the freedom to jump on a plane and fly to London, Italy, or Costa Rica at a moment’s notice. With my laptop and my team of all-stars, I can run my business from anywhere in the world. - - 💰 I’ve created multiple highly profitable revenue streams. With my core business running like a well-oiled machine, I have the freedom to grow and develop new passion projects — both personally and professionally. - - 🌴 I’ve fulfilled my dream to completely close my company twice a year, giving me and my team the freedom of four whole EXTRA weeks off to travel and spend time with our loved ones. - - 🏡 A major construction nightmare in my apartment didn’t derail my life. I had the location freedom to work from our upstate cabin for six weeks while the damage was repaired. - - 💃 Some days I finish my focus goals by 11am and have the freedom to decide, yep — I’m done! I can call a friend and say, “Hey — let’s catch a dance class and grab lunch,” on a Tuesday. What does freedom look like to you, {NAME}? I want you to really think about it. Kelly says… - “I’d create my own work schedule and be able to work from any country in the world.” Daniel says… - “I’d have recurring revenue and a stock portfolio of $500k, allowing me to drastically reduce my work hours, travel the world with my wife and kids, and write screenplays.” Matteson says… - “I would quit my day job. I’d have the creative freedom and financial freedom to dance, make art, sing, and travel. I’d have enough money to easily pay all my bills and have plenty left over to battle climate change and help my friends and family.” Now back to you, {NAME}: What does freedom look like to you? How, specifically, will more freedom transform your work, your relationships, your happiness, your life? Don’t just think about this, write it down. In fact… ✍️ Do THIS → reply to this email and let me know your answer. Did you do it? If so… BAM! 💥 You just completed the first step to get the freedom you crave. You may be on the “church steps” now, metaphorically speaking, but you’re not trapped! The freedom-rich life you dream of is possible. Let’s get it, together. More soon. 💕 XO Marie P.S. Nearly 80,000 people around the world have created freedom-rich lives with the help of [B-School](. Here’s Katie’s story… “Thanks to B-School, I went from working 80 hour weeks to working 20 hours per week, serving more women, and making an even bigger impact. All while being an example for my beautiful baby girl. I’ve brought in multiple six figures and have the freedom to be at home with my daughter. I also have the time, space, and income to give back to my community. And somehow in the swirl of it all, I began writing my book!” Enrollment for B-School opens Thursday, February 8, 2024! 👉 [Don’t miss out: Click here to add a reminder to your calendar now.]( If you wish to stop receiving our emails or change your subscription, you can [update your preferences]( or [unsubscribe here]( or you can email your request to info@marieforleo.com.
