It was a mix of business, spiritual growth, and pleasure that left me feeling full and inspired. [My VP of Operations and I got together to take stock of where we’re at, dream about the future, and start making plans for the year ahead.]( My VP of Operations and I got together to take stock of where we’re at, dream about the future, and start making plans for the year ahead. 🍁🍂 Fall is such a perfect season for this kind of reassessment and re-evaluation. I had some ah-mazing meals (shout out to [Lilac Patisserie]( and soul-shifting conversations with friends, full of tears and laughter. I also tucked in a little impromptu photo shoot around the gorgeous streets of Santa Barbara. Can’t wait to see the photos! Meaning… maintaining, entertaining, or even being around people who only want to connect because they think you can help them get ahead. Or being around people because you think they can help YOU get ahead. OOOOOF. While I didn’t have any of those moments on this trip, I remember many earlier times in my career when I did. Times when I squashed my true feelings, put on my best smile, and connected in hopes of getting some kind of secondary benefit down the road. Transactional. It never felt good. Whether I was the one chasing or the one being chased. So, for me… as I dream into 2024 and beyond, I’m excited to grow even stronger in my discernment of where (and with whom) to commit my time, energy, and attention. How about you?
